There are two
editions of User Defined Fields for .Net.
Standard
Edition

Basic field types |

Standard
edition allows you to create user defined fields of the basic
types: Text, Number, Boolean, Date, Time, DateTime, Month.
The following extra types are also available:

WWW field type |
|
|
This type is specially designed to hold web address.
The field of this type has additional button next to
the reference by pressing which user may start web browser with the web
address specified. |

Email field type |
|
|
This type is specially designed to hold
email addresses. The field of this type has additional button next to the email
by pressing which user may create a new email with destination address
specified. |
|
 |
File reference field
type |
|
|
Field of that type holds a path to
certain file. User may quickly open it or browse for another file. |

 |
Multilanguage support |
|
|
At this time these languages are supported: English,
Spanish, French, Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Lithuanian.
Other languages support could be added under request. |

Professional
Edition
Professional edition has one more field type
and two more helpful features:

The fields of that type are capable to hold various
attachments in the database. So user may open it or attach a new one. |

User defined
lists feature |
|
|
This feature allows user to create a
list of predefined values, and by assigning this list to certain user defined
field
will
allow him to choose a value from combo box.

Grouping |
|
|
This feature allows you to have
different fields for each group(classification) of main entity.
For example: you have a table Persons and persons are somehow grouped by the
category they belong to as Administrators,
Developers and Managers. By using
grouping you may have different user defined fields for each of these groups
. |
